Advert Analysis - Twinings - Drink It All In

Structure

In this 40 second advert for Twinings tea we see a woman firstly drinking - what is most likely tea from the cup. In this advert lots of bright colours are used and also like origami type scenery which are made from the little tags that you get on the end of the Twinings tea bags.

The tags of the tea bags are used to make the flowers in this scene, everything else is the advert is also made is out of the teabag tags, including the little bird. As you can see on the petals for the flowers they say English Breakfast Tea on them and this is one of the makes of tea that Twinings manufactures.

Techniques

In this advert there are lots of different techniques used such as bright colours, tea, and a Disney Princess sort of theme, with the little bird landing on the womans finger, which is something that occurs in Snow White.
With the use of the bright colours it it eye-catching for the audience and they have used colours that are positive and not at all dreary for the audience to look at.
With the use of the tea in this advert its also promoting that product that they are trying to sell and it is trying to incorporate all the elements of the tea bags with the inclusion of the little tag  using it to create the objects in the video such as the flowers and the little bird.
With the use of the Disney Princess'esqe its almost showing the woman as a modern day princess who loves tea and can summon birds to sing with her and also having the ability to make the flowers bloom, she is also seen dancing along the street.
Also it looks as if she is in a cartoon world and the buildings look like they are made out of Lego.

Characteristics of products/services

The unique selling point of his advert is that everything in this is made from the twining tea tags. I think that this is a great selling point for the product as it shows that even from the smallest items (the tea tags) different objects, such as the bird can be created.

Audience

The target audience for this advert is mainly going to be women as the advert features a woman and the way the advert is styled it looks inviting to women and not so much men. The age range for this advert will be people aged 16-34 and maybe older, mainly people who enjoy drinking different types of tea.
